1. What AMARJNET does

AMARJNET Cloud & Security Operations is the monitoring console for customer IT. It collects alerts from customer devices, shows device health, and lets technicians triage problems, run Free IT Health Checks and raise PSA tickets. The United Kingdom (console.amarjnet.uk) and Nigeria (console.amarjnet.com) are fully separate: staff only ever see the customers of the regions they belong to.

  • Tip: Each region's site links to the other in the top bar.
  • Tip: Data never crosses regions, even for admins of one region only.

2. Signing in (two-step verification)

To meet Cyber Essentials, every sign-in needs your password (or Microsoft/Google account) plus a 6-digit code from an authenticator app.

  1. Open your region's console address and choose Continue with Microsoft, Continue with Google, or enter email and password.
  2. First time only: install Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator on your phone and scan the QR code shown.
  3. Type the 6-digit code from the app and press Verify.
  4. Every later sign-in: just enter the current code from the app.
  • Tip: Codes change every 30 seconds — always use the newest one.
  • Tip: If your phone's clock is wrong, codes fail. Set it to automatic time.
  • Tip: Lost your phone? Ask a region admin to reset your verification.

3. The Alerts queue

Alerts is the home screen. The top row counts open alerts, critical alerts, unassigned alerts and devices online.

  1. Use the customer menu in the top bar to focus on one customer.
  2. Filter by severity: critical (red), warning (amber), info (blue).
  3. Click an alert to open its details on the right.
  • Tip: Work critical, unassigned alerts first.
  • Tip: '+ Ingest sample alert' creates a test alert — useful for training.

4. Triaging an alert

The alert detail shows the device, the check that fired, the measured value against its threshold, device health bars and the raw data received.

  1. Acknowledge — tells the team you've seen it.
  2. Assign it to yourself or a colleague.
  3. Start work, add notes as you investigate.
  4. Resolve once fixed. Reopen if it returns.

5. Creating a PSA ticket

Create ticket copies the client, device, severity and all telemetry into a PSA ticket. Critical alerts go to the NOC – Escalations board as P1; warnings P2; info P3.

  1. Open the alert and press Create ticket.
  2. The alert is acknowledged and assigned to you automatically.
  3. Find all tickets on the Tickets tab.
  • Tip: Each alert can only ever have one ticket — the button shows the existing ticket number instead.

6. Free IT Health Check

The Health check tab runs a structured security assessment for a customer or prospect and produces an AMARJNET-branded executive scorecard. Health checks belong to one region: UK staff only see UK assessments and Nigeria staff only see Nigeria assessments. Prospects can also request one themselves from the public 'Request Free IT Health Check' page linked on the sign-in screen; those requests appear in the matching region's list as Pending, marked 'web request'.

  1. Open the Health check tab. Pending web requests appear at the top of the list.
  2. To start a new one, enter company name, primary domain, contact email and number of endpoints, then press + New assessment.
  3. Select the assessment. Under Identity & Email Security press 'Check SPF / DKIM / DMARC' — the console looks up the domain's public email records and fills these three answers automatically (you can override them).
  4. Answer the remaining criteria: MFA, password policy; OS patch currency, antivirus/EDR, disk encryption, backup frequency; and the five Cyber Essentials controls — boundary firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection, security update management.
  5. Press Calculate health score. The scorecard opens with the overall score, grade, per-pillar scores, executive summary and every finding with its remedial action.
  6. Press Create remediation ticket to raise a PSA ticket containing the client, region, priority and every gap with its fix. Use Print / save PDF to send the scorecard to the client.
  • Tip: Scoring: each criterion has a weight (MFA, patching and EDR weigh most). A Pass earns full points, a Partial half, a Fail none. Score = points earned ÷ points possible, shown as 0–100%.
  • Tip: Grades: A 90%+, B 80–89%, C 70–79%, D 60–69%, E 50–59%, F below 50%.
  • Tip: Findings: Fail = Critical (red), Partial = Warning (amber), Pass = Passed (green).
  • Tip: Ticket priority: 3+ critical findings = P1 on 'Security Remediation – Urgent'; 1–2 critical = P2; warnings only = P3 on 'Security Remediation'.
  • Tip: Each health check can only have one remediation ticket — the button then shows the ticket number. You can re-score after changes; the ticket is not duplicated.
  • Tip: DKIM is searched on common selectors (selector1/selector2 for Microsoft 365, google, default). If none is found it is marked Warning — confirm with the client.

7. Devices

The Devices tab lists every monitored machine with status, operating system, role and CPU, memory and disk health.

8. CSP partners

The Partners tab shows the region's Microsoft partner details and distributors: United Kingdom — Pax8, TD Synnex, Westcon-Comstor; Nigeria — TD Africa. Only region admins can change them.

9. Staff management (admins)

Region admins see a Staff tab to add colleagues to their region as technician or admin.

  1. Ask the colleague to sign up first.
  2. Open Staff, enter their email, pick a role and add them.
  3. Remove access as soon as someone leaves — a Cyber Essentials requirement.

10. Security good practice

Never share accounts or codes. Sign out on shared computers. Report lost phones immediately. Use a long, unique password or your company Microsoft account.
